[edit] Speedy deletion of Daniel Lodge
A tag has been placed on Daniel Lodge requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. скоморохъ 14:54, 26 February 2008 (UTC)
there is no abusive or offensive material or language on the page, there is no false information and this is the reason why i believe it should not be deleted... the page serves as a page of information and history to a person, a person just as important as football player or coach (or do you have to earn a lot of money to have information wriiten about you??). If that is the case then i don't agree!
- Your page wasn't appropriate for an encyclopedia article; articles about people or other subjects that in no way explain how the subject is notable may be speedily deleted upon discovery by any administrator. (Again, have a look at our notability guidelines for people.) On the other hand, the policy allows active users to add a reasonable amount of personal content to their user pages (in your case, User:Dlodge1). See the userpage policy for more details on what is and isn't appropriate there. However, Wikipedia is not a hosting service; if you just create a user page and don't subsequently contribute to Wikipedia, the page may eventually be deleted as well. - Mike Rosoft (talk) 17:18, 26 February 2008 (UTC)
