Dlisted is a celebrity gossip blog written by Michael K. The site originally started on January 23, 2005 as the D-List, but was forced to change its name to dlisted shortly after, due to copyright issues with Kathy Griffin's: My Life on the D-List, a Bravo reality series following comedian Kathy Griffin.
Michael K, a 28 year old New Yorker started off blogging semi-anonymously, leaving out his last name, because he had a full time job at Dot-com, at which he did much of his blogging. Due to the amazing success of the website, he was able make enough money through advertising that he could quit his job and work on the site full time. Dlisted is known to receive more than a million hits a day.[citation needed]
Dlisted is also known for its large number of posts which can be up to 20 a day, much higher than the average gossip blog.
