[edit] License tagging for Image:Cbsfmlogo07.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Cbsfmlogo07.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 23:09, 11 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] WCBS-FM

Why are you so adamant about adding in the on-air schedule and entire management roster of WCBS-FM? These things do not belong in Wikipedia articles (see WP:NOT#DIRECTORY). I've been trying to scale down this article, yet for some reason, people insist on throwing in everything but the kitchen sink into this thing. As of right now, and as I've claimed on the article's talk page, the whole thing looks like complete garbage. All I want to know is, why?

And the placement of the WCBS logo is wrong. It's already at the top of the page in the userbox. --Fightingirish 06:26, 16 July 2007 (UTC)

In response to:
I took down the management stuff. The Logo is the Classic vershion of the logo if you want to get rid of a logo get rid on the 2004-2005 green a blue logo. The Q104.3 page has DJ lineup and management. I also took down the jack rateings somone had posted
Thank you for your reply. I was about to get an administrator involved. If you take a look at Talk:WCBS-FM, you'll see my pleas for some sanity on this article. I got bold and pared this puppy down considerably the other day, after so many people complained about how poorly this thing was written, and how much useless and irrelevant information was included (see here). Then everyone came and added the same crap back in the article, including a whole airstaff roster (which can be found on the website anyways) and a whole listing of the management staff (which is pointless in a radio station article, and which many in the radio project have been trying to get rid of). Let's face it, nobody cares who works in the front office at the radio station. That's directory stuff, and has no place in an article. And that stuff doesn't belong on the Q104 page either.
As I have pointed out on the article's talk page, whenever a current event such as this occurs, it seems everyone and their immediate family members feels justified to add even more stuff into the article. My philosophy is that it makes a much stronger impression to be the one ballsy enough to go in and make it a useful article, without all the nonsense. After all, the point is to make the whole thing readable, right?
As for the logo, your initial placement of it was incorrect and not to Wikipedia standards. Perhaps this page could use a logo gallery. That might clean things up a bit.
Again, thanks for responding, rather than do yet another revert (constant reverting is frowned upon on Wikipedia, and quite rude). And thanks for getting rid of the ratings stuff. I have no idea why I didn't get rid of that the other day (I was basically rewriting a section at a time).--Fightingirish 07:24, 16 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Your recent edits

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. On many keyboards, the tilde is entered by holding the Shift key, and pressing the key with the tilde pictured. You may also click on the signature button Image:Signature_icon.png located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 00:10, 5 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Replaceable fair use Image:Satanamets1.jpg

Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:Satanamets1.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. —Wknight94 (talk) 18:17, 19 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Satanamets1 Image

Sice you have such a big problem with my Satana image feel free to erase it. I thik you can find better things to do with your time then worrying about Wikipedia copywites. DLA75 (talk) 18:31, 19 February 2008 (UTC)

Hmmm. I added a bunch of links at the top of this page. You're going to want to read many of those - especially WP:C and WP:NFCC. I am being nice about the image and copyrights - I can't guarantee others will do the same. Copyright is a legal issue and should not be trifled with - here or anywhere else for that matter. —Wknight94 (talk) 18:53, 19 February 2008 (UTC)

How do I Remove the image? DLA75 (talk) 19:22, 19 February 2008 (UTC)

It's gone. —Wknight94 (talk) 19:38, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
