[edit] Hi, Dkreisst
Hi, I see you are new. Let me know if I might be able to help you learn the ropes around here. I'd be happy to help. You can reach me on my talk page at User_talk:CyberAnth. CyberAnth 11:07, 23 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Autumn
Hi. I understand that you wanted to 'repair' the solstice link. In that case, please point it somewhere else (as I did with the latest revision) instead of simply taking it out. Cheers, MadMaxDog 07:02, 5 January 2007 (UTC)
- Copying your response from my page <Quote> MadMaxDog, I was removing links to the disambiguation page "summer solstice." Normally I changed the link from "summer solstice" to "summer solstice," because there is no article page for summer solstice, but there is for solstice. However, in the case with the autumn page, there was already a link to the "solstice" article in the previous paragraph, so I felt that it wouldn't be necessary to duplicate a link. Let me know what you think. Dkreisst 21:45, 5 January 2007 (UTC) <Unquote>

- A reasonable argument! Sorry for not catching it. I watchlist quite a few pages, and this seemed like a simple mistake of a newbie. Please fill out the edit summary (in this case with something like 'removed doubled-up wikilink' or 'removed because already linked to') so people like me are more likely to understand what you intended. Happy editing. MadMaxDog 22:46, 5 January 2007 (UTC)

- Good idea. Thanks, Dkreisst 22:59, 5 January 2007 (UTC)

PS: Please lets keep discussions on one single talk page, so they can still make sense later (i.e. respond on the page where the discussion started). If you want to make sure the other person reads your response instead of never coming back, you may just drop a line on the other talk page with for example 'responded' and the theme talked about. Cheers, MadMaxDog 22:46, 5 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Cat:American liberals
Hi Dkreisst -- Regarding your note about Audre Lorde; this is just a notice that I'm encouraging discussion at Wikipedia talk:Categorization of people#people by political belief of the "Category:American liberals . --lquilter 12:35, 19 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Thank You
Dude i just wanted to say thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. THANK YOU. 202.0.106.130 03:12, 5 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Name of "Settlements established..."
Thanks for the note on my talk page. I have put down my thoughts at Category talk:Settlements by year of establishment. Greenshed 11:49, 16 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Audre Lorde
I think the description of her as a "gay activist" was intended to mean she was "someone who was gay, and an activist" not that she was only an activist for gay causes. Though actually, she always identified herself as lesbian rather than "gay", so it might be more accurate in any case to say "lesbian activist." ivan 03:15, 25 April 2007 (UTC)
- Good point. I think I would have reverted either intention of "gay activist," given the context of the intro paragraph. Dkreisst 03:27, 27 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Sitka
I had modified the structure because it is a wikipedia policy to eliminate the "Trivia" sections of all the encyclopedic articles (per Wikipedia:Avoid trivia sections). The transfer which you undid was a first step, in my mind, towards the elimination of the trivia section of the Sitka article. Regards. Hektor 08:11, 2 September 2007 (UTC)
- I see now, thanks. My reasoning was that "In books and films" is a subsection of the trivia of Sitka. I thought it strange that it would reorganized into a separate section. Dkreisst 07:14, 3 September 2007 (UTC)
- I think I can see it going either way, now, though. Dkreisst 07:29, 3 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] re:Flags edit
Sorry about that. I checked the Talk page on WP:Football and agree that no concensus has been reached (I really thought one had been). There is some discussion on the infobox talk page here: [1]. I don't like the way it looks (clutters things up), but I was wrong to remove it. Please restore them if you like. Best regards. Jogurney 14:21, 2 September 2007 (UTC)
