[edit] History
Wrongtom didn't fit from an early age as he was into post-punk and hip hop whilst the majority of people his age were into pop music. He grew up in the outskirts of London. He originally wanted to be a film maker, but one day he joined a band as a teenager "for a laugh". After the band separated, Tom started to interest himself in Latin percussion and began collecting lots of musical equipment.
He began trying to develop a genre of his own but now instead takes influence from genres such as punk, hip hop, reggae, garage and synth-pop and then mashes it all up to make music which has been described as sounding like early stones if they had samplers, or Ian Dury Jamming with Smiley Culture after listening to the entire 2 tone catalogue. He also has a reggae side project Stoneleigh Mountain Rockers and his free jazz collective the Devotional Ensemble. Oddly he considers himself more of a music lover than a musician. While all this was going on Tom was also busy DJing.[1] Tom is a fan of the actress Phoebe Cates[2] and is a tea enthusiast.[3]
He has a studio called the "Correctional Facility".
Tom is not a t-total.
In September 2007, due to a Wikipedia article, there was speculation that Wrongtom had died in a car accident, however, he made it clear on the Hard-Fi Official Forum as well as his own website that he was not dead.[4]
