DJ Taucher
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
DJ Taucher (born Ralph Armand Beck) is a German trance DJ. His name means "Diver" in German.
Taucher began spinning in 1992, initially collaborating with Torsten Stenzel. He quickly became one of the best-known spinners on the Frankfurt-am-Main club scene.[1] He also won notoriety for his unusual stage antics, appearing as a scuba diver, in a wedding dress, performing amateur ballet, and deejaying upside down. His remix of DJ Tandu's hit "Ayla" was an international club hit in Europe, and since then he has remixed for Culture Beat, Faithless, Robert Miles and Cherry Moon Trax, among others.
His 1999 compilation Life Is a Remix was a success, as was his Live at Webster Hall, New York City, which peaked at #43 on the US Billboard Heatseekers chart in 2000.[2]
