DJ Next was the original DJ for the South Australian-based hip hop group, Hilltop Hoods. He appears on their first EP, Back Once Again and full-length A Matter of Time. He is now a former member of the Hilltop Hoods, but still does his own shows sometimes. He claims the name 'Next' was given to him by accident.[1] The Boston, MA based Dj Next was awarded with "most conceptual mixtape" and "most creative mixtape" of 1999 by Kevin Beacham for Next's 120 minute length mixtape cassette "A Vibe Called Next - mixtape # 7,777,777" and is also credited as the founder of www.AmalgamDigital.com
