DJ Charma (born 1980) is a UK Garage DJ, owner of the Stereohype Recordings record label. He is also manager of MJ Cole's Prolific Recordings, and is involved in many other UK Garage record labels.
After 3 years on UK Garage's underground circuit, Charma began his career on UK radio hosting the first ever show on London's Vybe FM in 2003. Recognised as one of the leading UK Garage shows in London, his reputation for supporting the latest tracks across the scene grew quickly. In 2004 his show was the most popular underground radio show at the UK People's Choice Awards, and after a 2nd national feature on BBC Radio 1, appearances on BBC 1Xtra propelled Charma to the forefront of UK Garage.
With a runner up finish at the People's Choice Awards as Best Newcomer DJ in 2004, he has been on 3 tours of Russia, and has performed in Switzerland, Germany, Denmark, Austria, Estonia, and the USA. His own radio show is broadcasted every Thursday at 2000 GMT on London's Sub-Jam FM.
His record label Stereohype Recordings is one of today's most active[citation needed] UK Garage labels with its own Mp3 and Vinyl shop launched in 2007.
