[edit] Red link removal
I think the red links should be removed from Laura Lynch and Robin Lynn Macy as neither are in the music business anymore and not likely to ever have pages created in their name. I left the links out when I first created the template on purpose for this reason. Downstream 03:41, 7 June 2006 (UTC)
- I second the motion (though Robin Lynn Macy *is* in the music business, but only on a regional, non-commercial basis these days). I've posted the question on the main article's talk page as to whether the plethora of red links in the first paragraph of the article should be eliminated, and there was no objection. I may be in a position to say that it's ok -- I'm the owner of dixie-chicks.com, the first site to discuss the Chicks' historical roots. Perhaps the template should be modified to note "Current members"? --Robertb-dc 15:23, 15 June 2006 (UTC)
- Follow-up: I delinked the former members, but left them on the list with a "Former members:" label. We'll see if that stirs the pot. --Robertb-dc 21:39, 16 June 2006 (UTC)
As it happens, someone's created a Robin Lynn Macy article now. Wasted Time R 16:11, 26 July 2006 (UTC)
- Want to place bets on when it gets removed? :) Its so short and not Wikified... I'll be surprised if it lasts. Downstream 20:30, 28 July 2006 (UTC)
- It's only two sentences, and one of them is just flat wrong. I don't have time to VFD it, but someone likely should. --Robertb-dc 23:19, 28 July 2006 (UTC)
Someone expanded the Macy article to a reasonable state and fixed the wrongness. To fully balance everything out, I've created a similar article for Laura Lynch. Wasted Time R 02:45, 29 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Documentaries
Should the documentary Protesting the Dixie Chicks be included? I have not seen the documentary, but have been to the website at http://protestingthedixiechicks.com/. What do others think? ZueJay (talk) 05:14, 18 March 2007 (UTC)
