In 2003, Dixie and Sonia Vinci became Australia's first duo team of female news anchors, initially on a temporary basis, but it was later made permanent. This partnership lasted for 5 years, before her partner Vinci was replaced by former Network Ten newsreader Greg Pearce in 2008. She is also involved in Nine's Appealathon and other charity events at the station.
