IMDb profile |
Dixie is a 1943 biographical film of American songwriter Daniel Decatur Emmett, starring Bing Crosby as Emmett. The movie is a musical directed by A. Edward Sutherland.
There are very few copies of the film still in existence. As with films like Disney's Song of the South, Dixie is rarely shown today because it contains depictions and portrayals that are considered offensive and racist by a contemporary audience.
