[edit] Links to other religions

Teachings that fit into the defined understanding of Divine Philosophy as set out by Baha'u'llah will be gradually traced back in time. This page is to find reputable links to discussion from all religions and make an encyclopedic page bringing out the concept of Divine philosophy.RoddyYoung 06:47, 27 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] The Divine Philosophy wording in English

[edit] Baha'i Faith

The term divine philosophy can be linked to the the Baha'i book Kitab-i-Aqdas. It is mentioned in conjunction with the coming of age of humanity and and one of the signs stated is the development of an international auxiliary language.RoddyYoung 17:35, 27 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Catholic Encyclopedia

Found two uses of the words divine philosopy in the Catholic Encyclopedia. They both relate to the concept under discussion but in a referencial way. It is important to have this link in so that christianity and its use over the past two thousand years can be linked into the discussion. What the other religions of the world have to say on divine philosopy will emerge as the language translations are over come and the understanding for the reality of th words come out.RoddyYoung 19:11, 27 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] contributions

Format section head is a great contributions. Correct spelling is another great contribution. Maintaining quality of the read is another great contributions. Little by little day by day is a paraphrase of a Baha'i quote that applies to this work in progress. This mine is inestimable in gems when it comes to tracking the history of Divine philosophy. It gives the foundations of the maturation of the human race. Symptoms of the maturity are shown in radical transmutations of the elements. In computer speak we see digital (zeros and ones -10101010010010) as a store for analogue information that was all the world knew before higher thought came on the seen. Low level vibrations in the form of sound and heat, high level vibrations in the electromagnetic sphere with light for sight. When these can be transformed radically into digital we find sound is stored in the form of MP3 and sight in the form of video. Internet runs off anologue wires and electromagnetic stubstrates but now carries digital information coded for human transfer of thought and knowledge and communication. The planet is becoming like a global brain and each person is like the brains nurons connecting with other nurons. The blood brain barrier and the flow of glucose is like the finatial system that promotes collective memory and dicission making. Divine philosophy is explained in a world that is digital and is a long way from the Adamic understanding of divine philosophy where either people beleived in one God or they did not. In a sense that was the beginning of the digital age in thought. In genetics 3 billion years ago the unit of information was the codon the relates to the 23 amino acids that mike up protein from the DNA strand of information. Today divine philosophy rests with 1918 explaination by Abudu-Baha. We are told by Baha'u'llah that when his presents in the physical is gone from the realm of the physical then the decision making will be in the form of collective bodies of humans and the spirit of good dision making will still be present and not lost. We see this in the finantial world where the development of rail ways transportation lead to the full development of the company structure of the public company on the sharemarket. Boards of directors elected at large byt he shareholders and are the governace bodies of the verious coporate entities. In religious terms we see the emancipation of women and the election of governance bodies at the local, regional and national level who techcanally could see an all women congregation electing the all male Universal House of justice. In education in New Zealand we see the election of boards of trustees for all schools who are made up of both genders and who employ the principle teacher who inturn employs the staff and takes policy decissions from governance. I say all this to show that a rich field of discussion around divine philosophy has to be understood in this page some how. We have to see what the religious texts of the past provide in the way of insights and also foster new inspiration for PhD study in future that we can reference. This is not a place for original thought so we will confine ourselfs with what has gone on in the past to this point.RoddyYoung 18:09, 1 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov

Roddy, I removed the links to this site because they did not link to any actual text. The link just introduced the book title. If you want to expand this page you will have to actually do a good job. Currently referencing a few cases where the word "divine" was used immediately prior to the word "philosophy" does not constitute solid references for an encyclopedia article. The article would most likely not pass a round of AFD. Good luck. Cuñado - Talk 04:30, 31 October 2006 (UTC)

great site is AFD. It sits at the underbelly of wikipedia and it is not until a person fully graduates does one get to read for the first time this link. I will make many return visits and learn a new skill of consultation in this forum. Thank you for the post graduate heads up. I lookforward to my honors year learning AFD. Now back to the task at hand, growing the divine philosophy site here at wikipedia. First of all the need to see what the www has on a google search of divine philosophy brings up Baha'i references to Abdul-Baha talking in Paris around 1912. Good start and then I went to the catholic encyclopedia to see what she had to say. Then I started to look at other world religions to get a handle of the english word 'divine philosophy'. The reason I wanted the return of your delete is so that a person can go into the full academic paper referenced and open up the contents and summarise it for the wikipedia article. I am shore you did not want to cut the only link to islam on this page and not replace it with a better description of 1400 years of fine contribution of the the understanding of divine philosophy. That would be a mistake and would miss the fundamental purpose of wikipedia, NPOV and verifiable. A delete to a reference that is NPOV and creates a link to a verifiable source then creates the expectation that the deleter has something more substancial to Islam in this respect. Again I ask deleters to replace the deletion with discussion or a better contribution. Either way the treatment of divine philosophy is in your hands.RoddyYoung 19:05, 31 October 2006 (UTC)
It is not my responsibility. See WP:Verifiability, quoting the summary:
The obligation to provide a reliable source lies with the editors wishing to include the material, not on those seeking to remove it.'
I hope you write a great article, but if you don't, it's not my responsibility to write a great article. Cuñado - Talk 19:33, 31 October 2006 (UTC)
You agree divine philosophy has reference in the most holy book right. You know that Islam had 1200 years before Baha'i. Christianity before Islam, Judaism before Christianity. Starting with Adamic. So I have a dream to see this page have more than one editor and that those that delete will be people who replace 12 months with 6 months making for more accurate reading. I take your point. Now would you like to coment on the Adamic understanding please. It was those that accept one God and those that do not. RoddyYoung 10:00, 1 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] 2007 progress

This page of divine philosophy is a start to capture the nature of the expansion of knowledge. I hope that additions continue this year on developing the page.RoddyYoung 12:27, 4 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Live Earth

Live Earth was a global link of people in each of the world's seven continents, including Antarctica, where music was played. Music is the ladder for the soul is a paraphrase of Baha'u'llah. The coming of age of the human race must needs have this interconnection of sight and sound to facilitate this unity. Divine Philosophy is one sign and another is the international auxiliary language. RoddyYoung 19:34, 9 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Noetic Theory

I just come in from a discussion about the CTMU by Christopher Langan and "phenomenon of quantum nonlocality" http://www.braungardt.com/Physics/Quantum%20Nonlocality.htm which was explained. Noetic theory links east and west to past masters of thought. Divine Philosophy is an interesting subject that is unfolding. More to come. RoddyYoung 15:21, 5 October 2007 (UTC)
