Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood is a novel written by Rebecca Wells. It tells a different version of the events described in Little Altars Everywhere. A third installment, Ya-Yas in Bloom, was published in 2005.
A movie adaptation, directed by Callie Khouri, was released in 2002.

Siddalee Walker is now living the life that she has always dreamed of: she's a successful play director, and is set to marry her fiance, Connor McGill. However, due to her memories of her parents' unhappy marriage, Sidda isn't entirely sure that she wants to go through with her wedding. It's up to her mother's friends, the Ya-Yas, to change her mind about love, happiness, and family. Through Vivi Walker's scrapbook, titled Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood, Sidda learns about the ups and downs, triumphs and tragedies that has shaped her mother into the difficult, exciting woman she is today.
