[edit] License tagging for Image:Lysistrataat DSA.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Lysistrataat DSA.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 02:08, 21 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Disambiguation pages
Hello. Reading (disambiguation) is what we call a disambiguation page. As Wikipedia:Manual of Style (disambiguation pages) says, "Disambiguation pages are solely intended to allow users to choose among several Wikipedia articles, usually when a user searches for an ambiguous term." For that reason, "The description associated with a link should be kept to a minimum, just sufficient to allow the reader to find the correct link." That's why I removed your elaboration on how good the University of Reading is, even though it is arguably true. -- Jitse Niesen (talk) 01:45, 29 April 2007 (UTC)

-
- If you have permission from the author, leave a message explaining the details at Talk:Image:Valinakis11.jpg and send an email with the message to "permissions-en (at) wikimedia (dot) org". See Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for instructions.

[edit] Image copyrights
As per the above message, I have also tagged Image:View of Glyfada.jpg, which is a crop from an image at http://www.vgreece.com/index.php?entry=entry060723-102240. Please note that {{GFDL-self}} is only to be applied to works which you have created yourself. — mholland (talk) 00:43, 1 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Unspecified source for Image:Sommerk.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Sommerk.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self-no-disclaimers}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 09:43, 2 May 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. — mholland (talk) 09:43, 2 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] November 2007
Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from Shity University, London. When removing text, please specify a reason in the edit summary and discuss edits that are likely to be controversial on the article's talk page. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the text has been restored, as you can see from the page history. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. [edit] December 2007
Please do not add commentary or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to De Montfort University. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you. Groupthink (talk) 03:07, 22 December 2007 (UTC)
Please stop. If you continue to violate Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy by adding commentary and your personal analysis into articles, as you did to Slut, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Gwernol 22:50, 30 December 2007 (UTC)
This is the last warning you will receive for your disruptive edits.
The next time you violate Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy by inserting commentary or your personal analysis into an article, as you did to Promiscuity, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Gwernol 22:52, 30 December 2007 (UTC)
Hi, Ditta43. You left some comments on Gwernol's userpage that I removed because they were misplaced. You really want to aim for the talk page at User talk:Gwernol if you have comments or questions. Joyous! | Talk 23:08, 30 December 2007 (UTC)
Based on your edits to the articles "Promiscuity" and "Slut", it seems to me that you do not have a neutral point of view regarding Paris Hilton. I recommend that you refrain from editing the article on Paris Hilton. I am trying to make this recommendation in a positive and helpful way. Wanderer57 (talk) 00:03, 31 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Editing Wikipedia
Hi Ditta43:
I am going to try to explain something. I don't know if you know this. Maybe this will help.
If you think someone is a crook or a pornstar or whatever, you cannot edit Wikipedia and put in your opinion of that person.
Even if you are "really really" sure, you still can't.
The content of Wikipedia articles is not about your opinion or mine.
Edits to Wikipedia have to be based on reliable sources. WP:Reliable
That applies to all edits, but it is particularly important in articles about living persons. WP:BLP
I hope this is some help. If you have questions about this you can ask me or ask the WP:Helpdesk. Wanderer57 (talk) 00:43, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
