DITA Open Toolkit
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The DITA Open Toolkit is a free and open-source implementation of the OASIS DITA Technical Committee's specification for Darwin Information Typing Architecture (DITA) DTDs and Schemas.
The Toolkit transforms DITA content (topics and maps) into deliverable formats like web (XHTML), print (PDF), and online Help.
The DITA Open Toolkit, or dita-ot for short, is a set of Ant- and Java-based, open source tools that provide a "reference implementation" for processing DITA maps and topical content to multiple output formats.
It is a demonstration of DITA's capabilities for single source publishing, modularity, structured writing, information typing, inheritance, specialization, topic-based authoring, conditional processing, component publishing, task orientation, and content reuse.
Several XML editors and XML content management systems integrate the DITA Open Toolkit into their products.
