[edit] Proposal

I've started a discussion about this proposed noticeboard at WP:AN. [1] - Jehochman Talk 17:10, 14 October 2007 (UTC)

WP:DE/N may be very useful—great idea, Jehochman. — Athaenara 05:26, 17 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] User Input

Um, I received a message that my editing has been mentioned in a discussion. I did my best to research what was mentioned and where and am unable to locate anything. Smithgiant 08:11, 19 October 2007 (UTC)

Yeah, the board was deleted. So, we can chat here if you like. The question was whether you might have more than one user account. - Jehochman Talk 13:55, 19 October 2007 (UTC)
I don't think you have to answer that question. And, the question that Jehochman posed earlier was whether you were a Sock Puppet of my account, not whether or not you have multiple accounts. To me, Jehochman seems like he's trying to discredit anyone who disagrees with him, rather than that he's trying to build wikipedia. Especially since his gripe was about me going overboard on exposing the weaknesses in his {{COI}} and {{COI2}} tags, not about sockpuppetry, so I have no idea why he hasn't dropped the accusation of sockpuppetry, since he appeared to "shake hands" with me earlier. Since you're an obvious newbie, Jehochman really should be nicer to you. Fredsmith2 00:43, 22 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Delete this talk page?

Since the project page got deleted, shouldn't this talk page get deleted again, too? Fredsmith2 00:43, 22 October 2007 (UTC)

I asked El C the same thing, and he decided to leave it. I think it doesn't serve much purpose and could be deleted. If you feel strongly, ask El C to do the honors. Cheers - Jehochman Talk 00:49, 22 October 2007 (UTC)
I support El C's decision (as noted here) not to delete the noticeboard talk page. The noticeboard itself was deleted after only three days of discussion. That was rather precipitous in my view, as Afds normally run for at least one full week. Am I wrong in thinking that the usual length of time allowed for Mfds is the same? — Athaenara 02:03, 22 October 2007 (UTC)
I think it was snowing. In any case, we should think about re-proposing this and get a consensus to run a test for 3 months. That would hopefully prevent a rapid MfD nomination. Unfortunately, many didn't even read the page before reacting. - Jehochman Talk 02:21, 22 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] I Am Still Confused

Greetings:

Welp, I am still kind of confused -- which, while isn't all that unique of a condition, I still am kind of curious -- and/or interested in knowing why and how my contributions -- as a while here at Wiki are being discussed as being disruptive.

I also was curious as to whether it was my disruptive editing on/at the JJ Dewey bio page (which was deleted) was what was being referred or characterized as being disruptive, or whether it was my other contributions here at Wiki.

No, not that I am upset or being defensive, but more towards wanting to learn how it is that when, how and as I contribute that those contributions would NOT be interpreted or characterized as such. Bottom line is, is that I am trying to learn from the mistakes that I made -- and make.

I also am a bit confused as it relates to this discussion as I see the "notice" at the top of this page dtd Oct 19, 2007, that this discussion/page has or is being deleted, yet I still see comments after that date.

I apologize for not visiting, checking things out and/or engaging with others here more often, and right now I find myself VERY busy with taking care of two websites -- a creating another right now --along with other "real life" tasks.

In any event, I would appreciate it if this page does get deleted that someone would be so kind as to find a way to communicate to/with me on my questions.

To answer one person's comments -- no, to the best of my knowledge I do NOT have a duplicate account here at Wiki -- and will be willing and able to fully disclose whatever information is required of me to prove or satisfy those/anyone who has this questions.

Also, I am who I say that I am. My name is Bryan Arthur Smith (aka: smithgiant).

While I have a general idea what the word/term sock-puppet means, I am not quite sure why, how and where this is meant to be applied. I do not believe I am anyone's sock-puppet, and I will be more than willing to discuss this with anyone, anywhere at anytime.

Regards,

I think you have nothing to worry about here. This project is deleted. - Jehochman Talk 21:35, 4 November 2007 (UTC)
