REGARDING:
It's a personal opinion, nothing more. When Mayor Sam Katz and the House of Commons tells everyone that Winnipeg is the "anus" of Canada, I'll glad not delete it if it ever gets put it. Until then, it stays off of Wikipedia. I love living here. If you have a problem living here, find a way to solve it. But don't put it on here. Disinclination 03:48, 15 September 2006 (UTC)
This is a forum for free expression. You are not to delete any other editor's comments from this page. If you do not like any of the views expressed by others, then answer them with clear and concise argument. You will notice that when that was done in response to the "anus" of Canada comment, that editor did not even respond; that is the power of argument, it can sway the views of others. --207.161.33.36 05:50, 15 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] License tagging for Image:Ringettemain.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Ringettemain.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 00:07, 14 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Alexamcdonough.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Alexamcdonough.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

[edit] Pansexuality - Princess Clara
I don't think Clara was explicitly straight, either. After looking at her article, plus seeing the show myself, she does have homosexual moments with Foxxy. Disinclination 00:36, 20 November 2006 (UTC)
- I'll leave it at "female" then! :) ~ZytheTalk to me! 00:56, 20 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] James
I'm not entirely sure what you are trying to say. However, you appear to be suggesting that James and Remus were Prefects at the same time - which has never been suggested. Rather, we know that James was Head Boy (unless Rowling has changed her mind by now, and will come up with some poor explanation to explain it); we do not know how this came about, how James got the position, and if Remus was a Prefect at the same time. I also don't remember how this came up, or where it began - I suggest you use the talk page relevant to the article, where everyone can input. Michaelsanders 00:15, 28 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Live Journal
Just wanted to pop in and ask if I could add you to my live journal. You seem pretty cool, and we share quite a few interests. If that's okay, my LJ name is rocketpanther. ^_^ PantherFoxie 18:32, 1 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] contribution
Actually, I would like to know how adding this link to the Twilight Nexus qualifies as spam. Since it's opening 7 months ago, this site has had over 50,000 visitors from the Twilight community, is ad-free, and hold more research information on it's site regarding Twilight, the novel. Because of this site's huge popularity, there is no need for us to advertise. Twilight Nexus boasts the most comprehensive Twilight-related link list, an FAQ on novels, book details, news, author biography, and more. Adding this link is hardly spamming. I think you realize that. In fact, I think perhaps the reason you remove Twilight Nexus while other fan sites get to stay on the link is showing favoritism and is the height of unprofessionalism.
Also, if you remove my site from the external links, it is also fair to remove all other fansite links on Twilight, New Moon, and Stephenie Meyer articles- as there are SEVERAL on each.
I have requested an advocate on this issue and will enforce it further if need be. If my contribution continues to be removed, I will take this as high as I need to go to seek fairness and equality. It's fine if you remove my link, but then remove the other links that are in actuality, the same exact type of link.
Thank you. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Hart twinex (talk • contribs) 06:43, 11 December 2006 (UTC).
[edit] Ringette
Hi there! Be careful, don't cut adn paste straight from websites, that's a copyright violation and likely to be deleted. Thanks! --badlydrawnjeff talk 16:32, 17 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Shrinking of Demographics pic
Hey,
I added that pic in the Demographics section of the Canada article. It's okay that you shrunk it... it looked fine at my resolution (1268x1024). I guess that's not a good way to set the standard though :P I'll just turn it into a thumbnail.
Thank you for your concern! --RavenStorm 00:22, 21 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Ringette
Hello Disinclination, I was wondering if you'd be interested in helping me bring the Ringette article to a higher level? I see you've participated on the talk page before. I've recently put a To Do List on the same talk page and I would like some feedback on the whole structure of it. Suggestions on what we could do to improve the article and how we could do that would be fantastic would be helpful :)
Thank you in advance and Happy Holidays, --Thereen 05:40, 26 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Your edits to Yin and yang
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Your edits to the article Yin and yang have been reverted. It seems to look like a test. If you want to do anything like a test, to see how things work, you might want to check out the Sandbox, or create your own, like User:Baseballfan/Sandbox and create that page, or something similar. Thanks for your edits! :D Disinclination 09:30, 2 January 2007 (UTC)
- Hey, you meant to add your comments to Jimmytriscuit's talk page, he vandalised the page after my edits, both of which were minor edits that fixed the article, therefore did not need reverting to an earlier version, and thus remain in place. Not to forget the the anonymous user a couple edits after the vandalism. Here is the talk page you meant to place your comments, User_talk:Jimmytriscuit. AntiVandalBot already took care of the anonymous vandal. Thanks for your concern, but I am aware of how to use wikipedia! Maybe I should direct you to that page, or to your personal sandbox! From the Magick main article: "Since the time of Crowley's writing about magick, many different spiritual and occult traditions have adopted the spelling with the terminal -k, but have redefined what it means to some degree. For many modern occultists, it refers strictly to paranormal magic, which involves influencing events and physical phenomena by supernatural, mystical, or paranormal means." [edit] Sexual Intercourse move vote
I saw you changed your vote. I respect your vote whatever your choice is. I just wanted to be sure that you were correctly informed. I wondered if you saw that I had rewritten a portion so that it does include anal and oral as well as vaginal, so that it would correctly reflect the dictionary entry. I've asked a couple of times for people interested to widen the informaiton about anal and oral, but there is a direct link included to the entire article on those topics. Atom 02:24, 11 January 2007 (UTC)
I saw that you changed it too, and I hope that you have considered the arguments pertaining to the fact that the majority of the information still directly addresses the biological, social, legal, and historic implications of sexual intercourse. I do not agree with the edits made, and do not consider them a compromise but a distraction. Prior to these edits, I and other editors had said that we did not want to see the article rewritten. However much we add, the article still gives disproportionate weight to the subject of vaginal intercourse. Joie de Vivre 02:39, 11 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Regarding Samhain
I know of a couple Wiccan/Wiccanoid groups that place Samhain on the first full moon, sun in Scorpio, but I don't have any good references. It could be that they were just acknowledging the old cliche of "Ask five Wiccans what they want on a pizza, get seven different answers. ;) Justin Eiler 22:56, 18 January 2007 (UTC)
- Yep, it's a weird one. Y Tylwyth Teg used to have the "First full moon" date, but now they're running by the calendar. Summerlands and one of the groups in Avebury, England also cite the lunar date, rather than the calendar date. But I'm with you--a calendar is easier. :) Justin Eiler 23:37, 18 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] My Message
I notice you removed my message from Talk: Sexual Intercourse about posting a photo. I have discussed it with another user and I understand why I cant. But you are wrong in your opinions about sex. Sex is not gross. Sex is a warm, intamite passionate exchange between a man and a woman. It is very beutiful and loving. It can make a reliationship stronger and make a couple close. You are very wrong in your idead about sex being gross. 75.109.100.86 23:40, 18 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Authorised
Ref Authorized/Authorised in UK (King James Version of the Bible):
I believe the z form can be used in UK for words that originate in Greek where z was used; in any case I believe Oxford University Press and Cambridge University Press differ in their usage on this in the printing of Bibles. I have an Oxford Bible, given to me in 1974, and printed in Great Britain. On the title page it says "Authorized King James Version".--PeterR 23:13, 24 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Google Alerts
First of all, Google News is a news aggregator that processes headlines from various news sources around the world. However, they only archive a headline for 30 days before it disappears off the search index. (For what reason, I don't know.) I have a Gmail account, so I was able to set up a Google Alert to send me an e-mail if a new headline popped up on Google News. I can set this for an immediate message, once a day, or once a week. For the Google Alert, I set up keywords with the film title and the director's name. However, with Jason Voorhees, it may not be very useful, as there are not live headlines (as in the last 30 days) about the character. You would probably need to seek out other sources to find detail about the character. —Erik (talk • contrib • review) - 02:01, 7 February 2007 (UTC)

If you want to take a look at what I've done to the article so far, you can go here. Be warned that it's kinda chaotic (makes it easier for me to work) and there are some sections (like the Lead paragraph) that I'm waiting for the last minute to even attempt. BIGNOLE (Question?) (What I do) 19:51, 11 February 2007 (UTC)
- I need good sources for the pop culture section. We can't list everything, and it needs to be verifiable by reliable sources. I'm not sure yet if there are pop culture information in the two books. As for the films, that's how they'll be when I'm done, minus to copy editing and be word choice. The film info is covered on film pages. What he does in the films is irrelevant to the fictional character. I'm using the 3 Star Wars characters, that reached FA status, as my template. BIGNOLE (Question?) [edit] Thank you
...for keeping a close eye on Children of Men and upholding the consensus of editors to that page by helping to remove original research that has been added by editors unfamiliar with Wikipedia policies. Your efforts to improve this article do not go unnoticed or unappreciated. Thanks. —Viriditas | Talk 08:05, 12 February 2007 (UTC)
I think he is referring to me, The film clearly shows people standing on the ship, rushing towards the prow to see Kee in the boat. Actually, that they are looking at Kee is a supposition that could be considered OR (as the editor who has a few WP:OWN issues might suggest), but that they are standing on the ship and are certainly not smiling is clear, this from having seen the movie a number of times (4) now.Arcayne 05:13, 13 February 2007 (UTC)
I appreciate you stepping in; maybe he will listen to you. He doesn't have such a great record with that whole patience thing. He doesn't understand that it takes at least two to edit war, and calling the other guy names is a rather manky way of eliciting cooperation. As far as I am concerned, he is a bully with OWN issues. I stepped in as he was stomping yet another user for introducing pertinent info to the article. That said, I am waiting for an admin to weigh in.Arcayne 04:24, 10 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Greetings
Greetings. I am Edward Cullen II. I was looking around Wikipedia for information on books, when I stumbled across Twilight. I saw that you were the only one on that talk page. This is my all time favorite book as perhaps you can tell by my name. Come and talk sometime on my page. This goes for anyone, I love company:) --EdwardCullen II 23:12, 21 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Footnotes on the Winnipeg
I was wondering if you could go over the Winnipeg footnotes. I keep messing up on trying to combine the two National Defence notes. Do you think you could take a crack at it? jdobbin 01:03, 24 February 2007 (UTC)
- No problem. I'm trying to fix the footnotes but my knowledge of html is making it hard. jdobbin 20:33, 25 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] 'North America (Americas)' ... again
Thank you for weighing in on this prior AfD. Even though an apparent consensus supported the prior AfD in some way, and the article has been deleted, this has reared its head again -- please peruse and weigh in. Thanks! Corticopia 23:08, 13 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Children of Men
I was thinking about this last night (i.e. as to whether JAsper was Theo's father). It seemed obvious to me when watching the film but on a second thought I can't see any direct reference.
Also - why warn me about 3RR? I think you're being a bit over-reactive there.
No - you're wrong about the 2RR. I did not revert - I put in "father" twice in two different places in two different edits. I have stated I may be wrong (although I think the case is debatable - did you ever consider why Jaspers house had a picture of Theo, his ex wife and son in a prominent place and why Jasper knew so much of Theo's history? - Don't say "Theo never called Jasper 'father'" because we are talking about an ex hippie father here).
Are you - and I mean this kindly - a wikistalker?
[edit] "deleting all fan sites" on the Tomb Raider page
Hey, you deleted all the fansites, but Tomb Raider Chronicles is also a fan site, so why did you keep it? One can keep fan sites links if they're relevant, so deleting all of them except one is quite weird. Klow 23:36, 5 April 2007 (UTC)
- Well, fan sites are general not considered encyclopaedic, since they can have a wide variety of bias. Thats the main reason why I deleted all of them. If I missed one, I'm sorry. Disinclination 23:40, 5 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Wicca
Hi Disinclination. Thought you might like to see my lengthy comment (tirade? dissertation?... whatever) on language preferences. Do know that I appreciate your input, and would like some either here, or on my talk page. No insult intended to you, definitely. I like Gnomes, and rather consider myself to be one, as well. I kinda look like one, in fact!) Esseh 04:09, 6 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:TMNTMichelangelo2007.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:TMNTMichelangelo2007.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 18:30, 10 October 2007 (UTC)
