[edit] Cinema of France
Added "Cinema of France" template to the bottom of the page. Anyone objects? Flipside1980 9:40, 26/4/2008 (GMT)
[edit] Soundtrack
Anyone know about the soundtrack?? This movie had some great examples of French Hiphop, the music really set the mood.Thelastemperor 02:16, 20 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Bizarre re-editing???
In the history pages, the synopsis of District B13 has gone from saying "The film is notable for its depiction of parkour in a number of outrageous stunt sequences that were completed without the use of wires" to "The film is notable for its depiction of parkour in a number of shockingly bad stunt sequences that were completed without the use of wires". Why shockingly bad? Or more pertinently, the edit page has no modifier -- shockingly bad or outrageous -- yet the former shows up on the page. Though both are editorializing, "outrageous" seems warranted, or at least defensible, while "shockingly bad" seems to have added by a troll or a non-fan. Certainly, it has been good enough to influence many other films (notably, the use of free-running in the recent Casino Royale).
[edit] Plot Length?
Is it really condusive and necessary for the plot section to be as long as it is? It doesn't really add to the article and it seems over the top. Lycand 22:52, 12 January 2007 (UTC)
- Agreed - it's not very well-written either. I was contemplating making minor sylistic alterations, but after reading the entire plot, I realized it needed a lot more help than minor style edits. Anyone game for rewriting the plot? The freddinator 01:39, 14 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Related to Assault on Precinct 13?
Does anyone know if this was to some extent inspired by Assault on Precinct 13? Reading the plot description of that movie, it seems that District B13 is different enough that it can't be called a remake, but there are certainly similarities between the two. I wasn't able to find anything to support it in a quick Google search, but I'm hoping that someone else knows of some evidence for that. Chuck 19:17, 16 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] ending
"Schools and authority start reappearing in District 13 as the wall comes down and hopes for a brighter future unfold." I'll change that sentence since these events are not shown in the movie. Maybe hopes are unfolding, but that's interpretation. One can't see the wall come down, neither school reappearing and the only authority shown after the Krüger-sequence is the police at the entrance, which was there before. --Ruben 21:42, 11 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Article name
Why is District 13 a redirect to District B13 if (as the article states), the latter is an incorrect title? Should the redirects not be the other way around? Nevalicori 12:30, 21 April 2007 (UTC)
- I've moved the article to the correct English title of District 13. No idea why some think it's called District B13 or why that was the main name of the page. Maybe it's because District in French is Banlieu and some were trying to reconcile the copious references to B13 in the movie and thought it meant District B13 and not Banlieu 13 as it is. Ben W Bell talk 17:36, 28 April 2007 (UTC)
- People "think" it's called District B13 because that's what it says on the DVD case and if you look it up on Amazon.com it comes up as B13 even when you type 'District 13' or even 'Banlieu 13'. Also, on IMDB, the English title (not the literal translation) is given as "District B13". Lastly the official English website is DistrictB13.com, which itself makes many references to "District B13". I know I'd be way more convinced that it's District B13 pitting those references against fanboy semantics. I realise that the direct translation is one thing, but I don't think reference should be made to it being "incorrectly referred to as" if more people know the TITLE as "District B13", especially when it says it on everything I can find that's officially connected to the movie.68.176.137.194 09:56, 3 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Banlieue 13 poster.jpg
Image:Banlieue 13 poster.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
