Distrigaz Sud activates in the field of gas industry, being specialised in natural gas supply and distribution. With a tradition traced back to over 30 years, Distrigaz Sud is one of the major players on this market, providing natural gas for 19 counties including Bucharest in the Southern part of Romania, the gas supply and distribution activity being performed in Oltenia, Muntenia and Dobrogea. The customers of Distrigaz Sud, amounting to 1.1 millions, can be found in approximately 565 localities both in urban and rural areas, namely on a surface of approx. 114,900 km².
The total gas distributed through the company's gas pipeline network of 14,260 km was in 2005 around 4.3 billion m³.
