District Galicia

District Galicia (German: Distrikt Galizien, Polish: Dystrykt Galicja) was an administrative unit of the General Government from 1941 to 1944.
It was composed of former territories of the Second Polish Republic, since 1939 occupied by Soviet Union. In 1941 after Operation Barbarossa those territories were occupied by Nazi Germany and incorporated into General Government; until having been retaken by the Red Army in 1944.
