Distonic ion

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Distonic ions are chemical species that contain both a radical and an ionic site on different atoms of the same molecule. They were first discovered in the gas phase by Michael L. Gross[1]. In recent years there has been a tremendous effort to identify new distonic species, characterize their reactivity, and measure their stability.
