Distinguished Service Medal

The Distinguished Service Medal (D.S.M.) is a decoration. Different versions exist for different countries.
- Distinguished Service Medal (Australia): Awarded for distinguished leadership in action.
- Distinguished Service Medal (United States): The US DSM is for leadership, but does not require active military service, unlike the British and Australian DSMs which are only awarded for military action.
- Distinguished Service Medal (United Kingdom): Formerly awarded to NCOs for distinguished leadership in action at sea. Now merged with Distinguished Service Cross.
- Medal of Distinguished Service (Israel)
- Distinguished Service Medal (Condecoración al Servicios Distinguidos) (Mexico)
- Vishista Seva Vibhushanaya (Distinguished Service Medal): Awarded for senior military officers for exceptional, distinguished and loyal service.
