[edit] History
The band consist of guitarists Chris Billings and Andy Higham, his brother, Nic Higham on bass guitar, drummer Dustin Sanders and singer Chelsey Pieratt. Their music features original songs and lyrics and the application of well known hymn lyrics to original music. They released their first album, Better Place in 2002 on the Route 7 label.
They were formed in the late 1990s as a youth band for performances at youth group meetings and other religious gatherings, and eventually began to function more as a band than an outreach tool.
In 2001, after a short break, the band reformed minus Pieratt and took on new vocalist Regina Mullikan. A year later Mullikan left for college and Chelsey Pieratt returned as the lead singer.
Disperse broke up in 2003 because of lack of time and gigs.
Members Chelsey Pieratt and Dustin Sanders are currently students at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. Andy Higham was married Sunday, April 16, 2006 and resides in Seymour, Indiana. Chris Billings and Nic Higham still reside in North Vernon and attend local colleges. Though there is speculation of a temporary reunion concert over the summer and fall months culminating in a second CD release, nothing has yet been confirmed.
