Disney Channel India began broadcasting in 2004. All internationally broadcast shows are available with English and Hindi audio, while locally produced shows are available in Hindi only.

From the beginning of the 2008, disney channel india made many changes every month.Many new series were added during 2008 and new episodes of many shows were aired.

Disney Channel India traditionally broadcast most of Disney's movies, including Walt Disney Studio movies and Disney Channel Original Movies. From 2004, these broadcasted Sat-Sun at 11am and 7pm which was aired since the mid 2007s. They now broadcast under the title of Disney Channel Movie or Disney Channel Original Movie (DCOM).Now these movies comes Every Sunday 11am and 7pm.

Most of the Movies on the channel is at a certain level. Almost all of Disney's movies are rated G and usually feature low level violence.The ratings sometimes go up to PG, being the cause of violence, action and sci-fi themes throughout the showing of the movie.

The G rating is used for most of the sitcoms on the channel.

The PG rating is used for some DCOM's on the channel.

This is a block which airs Monday to Friday from 12 noon to 1pm.Everyday it shows different animated shows.The current shows it airs are Recess,Teamo Supremo,The Replacements,Lilo and Stitch: The Series,Magical Doremi,Alladin,Phineas and Ferb,Kim Possible,Being Ian,The Emperor's New School.

This is a block which airs at evening from 5pm to 8pm.It airs disney/non-disney shows.This is the most popular block o Disney Channel.The Shows that air during this time are Magical Doremi,the Suite Life of Zack and Cody,Hannah Montana,Life with Derek,Wizards of Waverly Place and Sanya.

It is a block which airs in the mornings from 6am to 10am from Monday to Friday and From 6am to 9.30am.It is a children special block.The Current shows which air in this block are Johnny and the Sprites,My Friends Tigger & Pooh,Jojo's Circus,Little Einsteins and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.

It is a block which airs on every weekend.It started form April 2008.It shows marathon of shows.On saturday they air marathons of Shararat,Phineas and Ferb,Magical Doremi and The Suite Life of Zack and Cody.On sunday they air marathon of Madeline and Son Pari.

This is a block which airs every Sunday.In this block, movies are shown.The movies comes at 11am and 7pm.Many Movies air in this block.The Recently Premiered movies are Spy Kids 3: Game Over and Twitches Too.
