Discodance
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Beginning: Discodance was a Dutch record label which released rare dancetracks on CD-Single in the late '80's. The label was comparable with the other Dutch dancelabel Injection. They'd release approx. 115 different CD-Singles and after the last release the record company went down (because they weren't making enough profit anymore). The cataloguenumbers were "Discodance 001 to Discodance 115".
Releases: Their most rare/valuable released CD-Single was probably Kylie Minogue's "Je Ne Sais Pas Pourquoi". There was a strictly limited edition of this CD-Single and about 200 copies were pressed. After a while the CD-Single was withdrawn 'cause recordlabel PWL made a deal with CBS. Although the CD-Single was made and printed in Holland only, the backside of the cover contains French lyrics. Another rumour why the CD-Single was withdrawn was because the CDs weren't good enough to be sold. The cover supposed to be "to cheap", and the CD had to be a silver disc. If I'm not mistaking the cataloguenumber of this CD-Single was "Discodance 108". So this was one of their very last releases!
Other rare releases were from artists like; Dancedivas, Silva[disambiguation needed], Becky, and others.
