Dirk Verbeuren

Dirk Verbeuren (born 1975, Wilrijk, Belgium) is a heavy metal drummer, most notably recognized for his work in the Swedish melodic death metal band, Soilwork, and the French melodic death metal band, Scarve. Due to his complex and precise drum work, he has been in high demand as a session drummer working with bands such as Sybreed, Lyzanxia, Sublime Cadaveric Decomposition, Yyrkoon, Manu Livertout, Infinited Hate, 7th Circle, Headline, Taliandorogd and Aborted. He also recorded drums on the Nuclear Blast All Stars CD Out of the Dark. He is a permanent member of Soilwork (as of 2005) and of Scarve (founding member). He is a former member of bands such as Phazm and Mortuary. He uses Tama drums and Meinl Percussion cymbals. He resides in Cleveland, Ohio and in Vernouillet, France. He is currently in an industrial rock/metal band with Guillaume Bideau (lead singer of Mnemic and former singer of Scarve) called "One Way Mirror". He has recently recorded the drum tracks on the solo album Praises to the War Machine of Nevermore's singer Warrel Dane, album produced by former Soilwork guitarist Peter Wichers.
