Director Special Forces (United Kingdom)

Director Special Forces (DSF) has been the title of the professional head of the United Kingdom Special Forces. The DSF has since 2008 held the rank of Major-General.[1], previously a Brigadier, reflecting the increased size of the Directorate. The position was created in 1988 and works out of the Ministry of Defence's, Whitehall office.
