Direction Régionale de Police Judiciaire de Paris
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Direction Régionale de Police Judiciaire de Paris (DRPJ Paris), often called 36, Quai des Orfèvres by its address, is the headquarters of the Criminal Division of the Police Nationale in Paris.
The Criminal Division investigates in cases which involve infractions like drugs traffics, prostitution, anti-gang, homicides (nowadays, for the most complex homicides like the ones involving serial killers).
"36 quai des Orfèvres" is often erroneously believed to be the address of the Direction Centrale de la Police Judiciaire, the national authority of the criminal police.
