Dipu

Dipu (递铺) is the central town of Anji county, Zhejiang, China.

It covers an area of 392 square kilometers and has a population of 158 thousand. There are 48 villages and 12 communities within its area.

The No.4 Zhejiang High Way runs through the town which makes the communications of the town quite convenient.

Dipu is 200 kilometers from Shanghai and 65 kilometers from Hangzhou, the capital of Zhejiang Province. It is only 3 hours drive from Ningbo, Suzhou, Nanjing and all the other major cities in the Changjiang River Delta Economic Zone.

The name of Dipu origins from "Post" because the town was a mail post in ancient China. Now it has a plaza called Plaza of the Post (驿站广场 pinyin: Yizhan Guangchang) which is located on the bank of the town's main river
