The FDA in United states does not approve dietary supplements. The FDA web site just lists that the manufacturers statement that Diosmin product will be marketed in USA.129.59.8.10 00:55, 12 February 2007 (UTC)
- Right you are. The FDA even said that there was not enough information submitted to demonstrate safety. I edited this to remove some of the most promotional claims. Nbauman 07:11, 1 March 2007 (UTC)
- Absolutely. It is a "Vascular Constrictor" which means that it may induce unstable angina and a potentially lethal myocardial infarction in persons with or pre-disposed to heart ailments. I had such an effect from "Butchers Broom" - and it took extensive research to discover that its "mechanism" (for "reducing varicose veins") is to deliberately induce Vascular Constriction.
