[edit] WRYYYYYY section is wrong
While the vampires do often say WRYYYYYY the in game move involving a steam roller does NOT have this sound effect. The animations/videos you see of this move are incorrect. This has been verified on the Dreamcast version of the game Ciper 00:41, 10 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Made in Heaven : Wrong link
The made in heaven links in the Dio Brando article link to this one instead "Made in Heaven is Queen's final studio album, released in November 1995.". What the heck? Question2 17:15, 15 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Trivia Pointlessness
"Dio means "God" in Italian. Some Italian JoJo fans reportedly give Dio the same respect (but not worship) like they would for his Divine Namesake." isn't a necessary detail by any stretch. "Dio" meaning god in italian, as I and others have reverted to, it perfectly fine, but the respect deal is not necessary by any stretch. Yes, we realize that many Italian Shounen-anime fans really like the characters and are crazy over Hokuto no Ken/ JoJo stuff, but that isn't necessary in such a section as far as I can tell.
- It should still be included because it DOES happen. And well, it is notable enough for mention. It's not everyday you see a character revered like that, with the exception of female characters. Oherman 02:29, 14 November 2006 (UTC)
-
- Honestly, I thought trivia pointlessness referred to a larger portion of the article than just this. I feel like the entire project of improving coverage of anime and manga needs justification. Is that really something we need to focus on in an encyclopedia?
-
-
- And the repeated taking down of this trivia is starting to annoy me greatly. Sometimes people don't know what is notable and what isn't. -_- Oherman 02:36, 10 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Expansion
I admit the opening was taken from the JJBA faq on the main article. It needs wikification. - Malomeat 20:00, 23 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Hair color
There's no way his hair color is red. I've seen it red in some official pictures, but in the video game, animated series, and a lot of the manga covers he's been in his hair's blonde. 69.242.188.226 02:17, 26 July 2006 (UTC)
- Pssh. Nevermind I read wrong.
[edit] I noticed a few errors.
First off, whole form thing seems flawed. Dio never really transforms, other than from a human to a vampire. What's all this about Dio losing his face as a result of the stone mask on "Shadow Form"? He clearly has one in part 1, and I believe that you actually see his face on the photograph that Joseph takes at the very beginning (Though I am recalling this from an English copy of the comic I read today: I read the scanlation further back). The colour of his clothes aren't really definate, at least not in the comic. Likewise, his hair is probably still blonde; the game's the other thing that would seem to suggest otherwise. Likewise, there's nothing in the comic to suggest his voice is distorted. In fact, Abdul refers to his voice as being sweet and inviting. Also, there's mention that Dio will not attack anything unless he is provoked or deems them an obstacle, but he kills a cat and places its body parts in people's food and one man's mouth on the way to stab Jonathan. He also sticks a fork in a woman's face. Bear in mind that this is before he enters his so-called "Bousou" form by absorbing Jonathan's blood. The English comic (Again, haven't read the scanlation too recently) holds that the implants in Dio's hair will slowly eat the brain of the victim: I'd call that pretty violent as well. Note that he does it pretty much immediately after meeting Abdul. Abdul doesn't really make any clear indication that he will not cooperate. --72.138.133.124 02:39, 29 October 2006 (UTC)
- Too add to this: Dio has been drawn with fangs. Referring back to the intro of the English translation of Part 3. I'm pretty sure he was drawn with fangs in part 1 as well.--72.138.133.124 06:20, 10 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] GA Nomination
There are 7 things that must pass before an article reaches GA status. I have reviewed it and the result is as follows:
- Well-written: Fail
- Factually accurate: Pass
- Broad: Pass
- Neutrally written: Fail
- Stable: Pass
- Well-referenced: Fail
- Images: Pass
I've decided to fail this nomination for the time being, simply because it needs quite a bit of tweaking before it becomes a Good Article. However, it's getting there. Some sections suffer from being written in a rather point of view style, for example the opening He is the most popular villain in the JoJo universe. Who says this? This is likely to be a weasel word and should either be removed or cited. In addition, sections such as WRYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY need cleaning up in a similar fashion, for example the section While amusing to fans of the series, this proved hilariously random to those unfamiliar with JoJo. This Internet phenomenon has spread mostly from the Futaba Channel imageboards. In addition, there are no citations for the trivia section, which should probably be integrated into other sections. Overall, quite an informative article, and I'm sure with a bit of work it could pass. Bob talk 18:06, 8 December 2006 (UTC)
just a note on wryyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy, its almost always spelled wrong. one w, one r, 20 y's. i feel this may be important part of this stub. (70.16.13.195 02:08, 12 April 2007 (UTC))
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:The world.jpg
Image:The world.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

[edit] Poor wording
The sentence "This proved hilariously random to those unfamiliar with JoJo's Bizarre Adventure." doesn't seem very... uh... ...Well, it doesn't seem very Encyclopaedic.
At all.
But I'm not sure how to fix it.. Repku (talk) 11:01, 13 May 2008 (UTC)
