Diomed Stakes

The Diomed Stakes is a Group 3 flat horse race in the United Kingdom for three-year-old and above thoroughbreds. It is run over a distance of 1 mile 114 yards (1,714 m) at Epsom Downs Racecourse in early June.
It is named after the racehorse Diomed, the first winner of the Epsom Derby in 1780.
