Diogo Jorge Moreno Valente (born September 23, 1984 in Aveiro) is a Portuguese footballer who currently plays as a winger for Leixões S.C., on loan from F.C. Porto.
[edit] Boavista FC
A product of Boavista FC's youth system, Valente debuted for the northerners in 2004-05, and quickly established himself as first-choice in winger positions, as Boavista achieved two consecutive sixth places in the league (2004-06).
[edit] FC Porto
In July 2006, Valente signed for an undisclosed fee with European giants FC Porto but, in January 2007, after appearing just once for Porto (although it was an important one, in a 1-1 away draw at Sporting Lisbon), he was loaned to C.S. Marítimo.
Diogo Valente jumped the "loan train" again for 2007-08, this time headed for newcomers Leixões S.C., in Matosinhos.
