Diogo Andrade (born in Lisbon, Portugal), on July, 23rd 1985). Made all his football youth formation at Belenenses being caped for Portugal U16, U17, U18 and U19, for 14 times. He played three matches on the European U17 Finals in Denmark 2002. Diogo Andrade plays in midfield, in either wing but preferably on the right side.
In his first professional season (2004/05) the young winger moved to England after impressing on trial with AFC Bournemouth. He was a sensation in pre-season friendly matches where his pace, tricks and catching performances awarded him a short term contract with the Cherries, but he was unable to adjust to the English game quickly enough to compete for a place in the side. He did however get to wear the A.F.C. Bournemouth shirt in the Carling Cup, in Bournemouth's famous giant killing of former Premiership Champions Blackburn Rovers. He moved on loan to Conference side Dorchester Town in October to learn more about the English game. He put in several memorable performances for the Magpies, making a total of 20 appearances for the Dorset side (including Cup games), scoring 4 times and claiming 11 assists, but did not re-sign for the Dean Court team. In 2005/06 he joined the French club Laval, but with relegation at the end of the season, he decided to leave. After spells in England and France, Diogo Andrade returned to his native Portugal to play in the very competitive second division joining Portimonense a team from the Algarve (2006/07). In January 2007 he signed a three year deal with Romanian first league club UTA Arad, playing the spring season in Romania, but unfortunately an injury kept him off the pitch for a long period. In the beginning of the season 2007/08 Diogo Andrade was loaned to Bulgaria first league club Vihren Sandanski.
