Diocese of Phú Cuong

The diocese of Phú Cuong (Latin, Dioecesis Phucuongensis) is a Roman Catholic diocese in southern Vietnam. The bishop is Pierre Trân Ðinh Tu, since 1999.

The creation of the diocese in present form was declared October 14, 1965.

The diocese covers an area of 10,855 km², and is a suffragan diocese of the Archdiocese of Ho Chi Minh city.

By 2004, the diocese of Phú Cuong had about 113,238 believers (5.1% of the population), 101 priests and 64 parishes.[1]

Sacred Heart Cathedral in Thu Dau Mot town has been assigned as the Cathedral of the diocese.[2]
