Talk:Dinobot

Am I the only one who thinks that the "rigid grill structure" running gag on alt.tv.transformers should be brought up?
Firstly I have to say that Dinobot was way over my head when i first watched this show. Anyway I can't remember: was Dinobot the only character on the show who used Shakespearian dialog that often.
[edit] Seppuku
Anyone notice at the very start of the "Code of Hero" episode that Dinobot appears to be continplating about committing Seppuku. he's on his knees and holds his sword upside down. just a interesting litte tid bit.--68.150.17.145 05:44, 14 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Species
The reasoning behind TM2 Dinobot being a Deinonychus and original Dinobot being a Velociraptor or Utahraptor is flawed as all three of these species had the mentiond "enlarged claw" on the second toe so this can not be used to distinguish between species, and its absence on original Dinobot suggests that this was either a different species altogether or that it was simply a missing characteristic. Suggest the article be changed to reflect this. CartmanUK26 10:11, 17 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Return of Dinobot's spark
I have to question whether it was the downloading of the Dinobot engrams in dark glass, or the return of the original's Dinobots spark that caused the tansmetal dinobot to turn on Megatron, the events of Nemesis seem to indicate the latter, especially in light of the fact that the change in Dinobot didn't happen until well after the events of dark glass.
- actually it was played off as being the fact that Rampage's spark had been whole, not half. With half a spark, he amoral, he needed a whole one. Then it (possibly combined with his Dinobot Datatracks) returned a bit of his old honor. user:mathewignash

- That might make sense except for a few scenes, namely the scene where depth charge plunges the energon into Rampage and you see a flickering image between the original Dinobot and the clone Dinobot, and then the fact that the clone remebered the last few moments of the origninal Dinobot's memory, namely the words that Optimus told him, something that shouldn't have been possible, even with the download, because the original Dinobot's body was destroyed without any such download occuring. The only way he could have known that moment was to have had the spark of the orignal Dinobot (the transformer spark being akin to a soul) —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 129.22.53.86 (talk) 17:16, 24 February 2007 (UTC).
- In addition there is the scene where Dinobot clone makes the comment that his spark feels somehow complete, and then Megatron casually says that it must be the death of Ramapage, but his casual dismissal of the clone's comment seems to indicate that he missed the underlying point, that it wasn't Rampage's spark within Dinobot anymore, but rather the original Dinobot's spark. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 129.22.53.86 (talk) 17:25, 24 February 2007 (UTC).

- But how in the heck was Dinobot's soul supposed to randomly depart the afterlife and re-enter a being that wasn't even him--just a (ridiculously mutated) clone with his name? And some memory tracks, if you go by "Dark Glass." It had to have been the whole Rampage spark, but possibly the copied memories were able to take over once he no longer had that powerful connection to Rampage via a shared soul/spark.

- It is definitely very strange that he remembered his dying moments, but then this IS a show about giant robots that turn into other giant robots and then beat the crap out of each other. :)—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 24.158.160.39 (talk) 20:47, 3 March 2007 (UTC).
