[edit] Johnny's surname

It is not well known what is "Johnny's" actual surname...However, the most commonly used surname is "Green", which is odd because the way the name is usually pronounced does not really rhyme with the term "in"

What about the great vowel shift? could that have changed the pronunciation so that Green used to rhyme but doesn't anymore? It certainly wrecked some of Shakespears verse, love to rhyme with remove? [edit] Orignial

>The original lyrics of "Ding Dong Bell" actually ended with the cat being left to >drown!

So what are the 'original lyrics' ? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.154.84.2 (talk) 11:22, August 24, 2007 (UTC)
