Dingwall Pursuivant of Arms in Ordinary is the title of a Scottish officer of arms. The office is currently vacant, as the reduction in the number of pursuivants in the Court of the Lord Lyon from six to three in the late nineteenth century means only three titles are in use at any one time. The current Ross Herald of Arms in Ordinary, Charles John Burnett, held the office of Dingwall Pursuivant from 1983 to 1988, before he was promoted.
Dingwall Pursuivant was formerly a private officer of arms in the service of the Lord of the Isles, but along with Kintyre Pursuivant, Ross Herald, and Islay Herald became an officer of arms to the Scottish Crown when the last Lord of the Isles forfeited his estates and titles to James IV of Scotland in 1493.
