"Ding Dong Song (You Touched My Ta La La)", was originally recorded by the Dutch group Phill & Company in 1984 (then titled Tralala)[1][2]. A new version by Mats Söderlund (aka Günther) and the Sunshine Girls has largely become an internet meme.
The new recording is sung in English, though with a heavy accent. It is likely a parody of the Eurodance genre of the 1990s popularised by groups such as Aqua, Culture Beat and The Real McCoy, which traditionally featured white European rappers paired alongside clichéd and nonsensical female chorus vocals. The guitar strum, tempo and castanets are similar to Jam and Spoon's "Right In The Night". The song's popularity is largely due to its euphemistic chorus: "Ooohh, you touch my tralala... Mmmmm, My ding ding dong." The music video for the song features Gunther with a mullet and a moustache typical of 1980s German pornography, as well as both male and female nudity and overtly sexual dancing.
