Talk:Dimosthenis Liakopoulos
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I beileve that this page is rather insulting than informative. Everyone has the right to express his opinion about certain subjects. When you put this in an encyclopedia then you should add also his opinion as is and not refer to what you heard him saying over the television. Additionaly i think there is a copyright issue regarding the photo of his book. Wikipedia should reject this article to protect itself from people who try to promote their personal opinion. I also don't believe him but you should state facts and not comments about his opinions. The article should be revised and include only facts and not personal comments and criticize his opinions. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 155.207.39.57 (talk • contribs)
Congratulations to whomever made the latest modification of the article! It is a lot more "wholesome" than my original version and is now approaching the status of a "professionally made" Wikipedia article! Well done ;)
Still needs a lot of work; renaming to include proper name form (Dimosthenis Liakopoulos), breaking up into paragraphs, inclusion of a proper bio and some more research into his background, rephrasing to avoid biased expressions (see Wikipedia:Neutral point of view), references to relevant Wikipedia articles about televangelists and professional con-men, quotes and specific third party references. For instance, check the articles for Uri Geller and Jerry Falwell. -- Slymole
Well... whoever wrote this page, although trying to be objective, sure gives a feeling he is trying to create a clearly negative impression for mr Liakopoulos. There are some parts that are really exaggerated about the topics he is discussing, for example, someone reading for the first time about Alexander the Great and the "putrid nations" would definitely form a wrong impression for mr. Liako, while in his TV shows he clearly states that he disagrees with much of what is being discussed about these topics. Also, the text gives the reader the impression that mr Liakopoulos is a anti-semite, while at the same time he clearly states it in his TV shows that the Jewish people are NOT to be persecuted for the wrongs commited by the dark side of Zionism.
Well, I really hope such things are clarified. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 150.140.130.40 (Univerisity of Patras) (talk • contribs) .
Hey hey hey ! Father Iosfif Vatopedinos is NOT deceased. He is still alve! ( ok he is maybe 90 yrs old but still *NOT* dead !!! ) Therefore I erased the word dead. About his past in NATO I think we should erase the phrase " He *CLAIMS* to have worked for NATO" because it is true. I have no proof for that but hey EVEN LIAKO WOULD NOT LIE ABOUT THIS ! He has written it in all his books " my experience in NATO has taught me ... klp klp " It cannot be a lie ! ( Yes I know that Liako and lies go together but
but Jesus! lying about his past is too much! Anyone could find out!)

- Every information on Wikipedia has to be verifiable, see Wikipedia:Verifiability. The only thing that can be verified (and that's because he says it on TV) is that he claims so many achievements, not that they are actually true. In fact most of them have been proven to be false. All "facts" about his life should be taken with a grain of salt and should explicitly be mentioned (if they have to be mentioned at all, which I doubt) alongside with a notice that these are only his claims. --Avg 13:48, 17 April 2006 (UTC)
Guess I covered the anti-Zionism subject good enough... Some Names appear red. I guess my spelling sucks. If Anyone konws how to spell Ahasuerous Jaros Aminadab Gavatha ( Greek: Αχασουερους, Ιαίρος, Αμιναδαβ, Γαβαθας ) -- panosfidis
Panosfidis I'm very concerned about the amount of pseudo-theories you've put on this page. I know you probably have a laugh with Liakopoulos as all of us do, but still Wikipedia is not a vehicle of promoting Liakopoulos' agenda. At first I thought about completely removing the data you added, but it's better to have input from other users as well. Does such an extensive mention of pseudo-theories conform to Wikipedia policy? --Avg 00:16, 20 April 2006 (UTC)
Maybe you are right. Maybe the right thing to do is put them in a separate article like epsilon team and just mention here that these theories exist. I fixed it. Now El and Nefelim are a separate page. I have left only the anti-semite topic. -- panosfidis
I think it's easier to read this way. Well done!--Avg 00:10, 21 April 2006 (UTC)
Still it needs a bit of work. I believe the topic "his claims" needs to be separated in articles such as "liakopoulos and the russians" "liakopoulos and orthodox faith" "liakopoulos and the prophecies" "liakopoulos and ancient Greece" "Liakopoulos and China" "Liakopoulos and Global Hellenism" with a bit of info about each subject.
- My point is that the article needs to offer *REAL* knowledge about Who is liako and what he does. What I want to say is that anyone who decides more or less to read this page ALREADY KNOWS WHO IS LIAKO. Lets face it it is rather unlikely that a Mexican farmer or an Arabian merchant will visit this page. The page is more likely to be read by a Greek who cares to learn something more about Liako. So the page MUST offer as much as possible. Since Liako in his TV-Show has said : "I give you the right to copy anything from my books and redistribute it, to tape anything from my show and reproject it and I claim no copyright of what I publish or show to you " and since he ORDERS "Have your Videos ready!""Spread knowledge" I think it is totally legal and moral to make a Great Projekt.
- "I claim no copyright of what I publish or show to you"? Hmmmm that's why he's actually selling it I guess:-)
- And by the way, it is obvious that you have yet to see The Light. OF COURSE a Mexican farmer and an Arabian merchant will visit this page, because they have inside their genes as everyone else in the World the memories of El and the Great Lambda :-) --Avg 21:33, 25 April 2006 (UTC)
I moved the "Apocalypse" stuff to the El and Nephilim page. it fits better there. panosfidis
I made three new categories:
- The Writers of Liakopoulos
- People Liakopoulos speaks with
- People Liakopoulos speaks about
The associates page can now be deleted.

[edit] Stubbed per WP:LIVING
This article contained a great deal of speculative content and unsourced assertions, which I have removed. Please do not re-add any content unless it is well referenced. The article's subject has complained. The Uninvited Co., Inc. 18:55, 27 June 2006 (UTC)
- Could you please cite the WP:LIVING violations? thanks. Project2501a 16:38, 4 July 2006 (UTC)
Unfortunately, some people use the Wikipedia as a home page for commercial purposes and propaganda, for example this page. Anyone could write an article about such nationalistic nonsense, but not anyone can write a serious article about a representative subject! [Ioanna] 2 November 2006
[edit] WikiProject History of Greece in Liakopoulos' article???
Well, as far as i know this project concerns the Greek Historical events through the centuries and Dimosthenis Liakopoulos has absolutely nothing to do with it. He's just a book seller with unsound theories. I think we should remove this tag...--KaragouniS 18:07, 22 January 2007 (UTC)
Dragonlike 02:24, 2 March 2007 (UTC) I think we should mention about his belief about the lost civilizations on planet Mars. A theory after of years of hard work according to his claims presented at his new books he have until recently broadcasted.
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Kokkinharkouda.jpg
Image:Kokkinharkouda.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

[edit] stubbing back
WP:BLP alert. This article was previously a highly critical treatment of L's excentric beliefs, and as such scraping along the edge of WP:BLP. Now somebody came along and turned that into an even more blatantly POV advertisement for him. Both versions are really untenable. I didn't want to simply revert to the problematic old version, the new one was blatantly unacceptable, I haven't got the time to do a thorough rewrite myself right now, so I blanked the whole section. The next section may need some scrutiny too. Fut.Perf. ☼ 15:41, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
