Dimitris Drosos (born 21st of October 1966) is a Greek businessman and the ex-chairman of AEK Athens BC.

He was born in Patra and began as a footballer from the juniors of Panachaiki team and moving upwards to professional football where he remained there until 1985. Later he played in smaller teams as of these of Achaia, and in 1990 he was voted one of the players of the year.(PatraSpor) (Achilleas P.& Thiela P) and Pellas (Niki Aksiou & Arostotelis L.).

He later worked as coach in 3 teams (Iraklis, Aspro and Mandalo),until he received a proposal from a German betting company.

As Odd maker initially and as Risk Manager later, he followed a permanently ascendant course of award in the sports betting area, and worked in two of the biggest companies of the sector, in the upper levels of management, rendering him one of the best known Risk Manager's in Europe. He was the Best European Sports Broker for the seasons 2005-2006 and 2006-2007.

During his years in Germany he acquired plenty of experience in gaming, an asset that he used later when he returned in Greece in 2003. He entered the world of Internet by creating goalnet.gr and later the winbet.gr. These two sites, one of athletic news and the other with tips and odds, amazed with their success and gave him the opportunity to create a company, as a continuation, the European Sports Broker. The first company in Europe, which under its high standards, was suggesting and advising professional choices in the athletic bet, leading its customers to high profits.

The rapid rise of company led him to the decision to found the DTL Group that in the beginning absorbed goalnet.gr, winbet.gr and ESB and then began investments in the Hotel business with the acquisition of big hotel group in Maldives as and hotel unit in Mykonos.

Simultaneously in 2006, the acquisition of Sporting BC and the majority of stocks of DTL-EKA-AEL in Cyprus gave him the chance to make a dynamic entry in the Basketball area, as both teams were the leaders in their category. With Sporting BC winning the first, after a lot of years, position and upgrading in A1 league, and at the same time is one of the least teams that are financially healthy. Following DLT-EKA-AEL to win the 5th consequent championship in Cyprus as well as its entry in the 8 FIBA Europe Cup.

In continuation of DTL Groups dynamic regime, more companies were bought off, these of Globalsports, Everactive Ltd, Network Systems Ltd, Tzivelekis & Collaborators, Lazoglou Graphic Arts, GoldVictory.GR [1] adding new objectives for him and his Group. Moreover more companies were created referring to economical and investment sectors.

In summer 2006, he undertook the responsibility for leading administratively K.A.E. AEK, one from the henceforth popular and historical teams in Greece and Europe. By buying the of majority of its stocks reaching 90%, they are going to make the team competitive in the Greek Basketball Championship of A1 category.

Moreover, the DTL group has presence in 8 different countries (England, Germany, Austria, Italy, Malta, Cyprus, Maldives and Greece) and already draws his extension in Scandinavian markets (Norway, Sweden, Finland) within year 2008, in order to continue the henceforth of its international award and its consolidation, as one from the dynamically developing multinational groups of its category.

He is currently a resident of Glyfada, and is divorced with two children. He has a degree in Business Administration, from the University of Patras ( T.E.I. PATRAS) and his hobbies are bowling, tennis and golf.
