[edit] History

The street was paved in mid to late-19th century. Neoclassical buildings were built up to Korai Street in the 1900s and later near Kalavryton Street in the 1950s. After World War II and the Greek Civil War, the street was for the first time lined and added the first traffic lights in the Peloponnese. Later on, four to eight storey buildings were built in almost the entire street except for a couple in the eastern part. More traffic lights were added in the 1970s.
