Diloma subrostrata novaezelandiae is a subspecies of small sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusc, in the family Trochidae, the top snails.

This subspecies is endemic to New Zealand.

This top shell lives on rocks on intertidal mudflats.

[edit] Shell description

This is a regional subspecies in which the radial stripes are broad and few, with a maximum of 15 on the body whorl. The shell is rather small, globose-conical, and the spiral sculpture is subobsolete to obsolete, about eight linear grooves showing faintly in occasional juveniles.

The maximum shell height is 17.5 mm, and maximum width is 17 mm.
