[edit] Shell description
The shell surface is almost smooth, at most showing weak spiral grooves and oblique indistinct corrugations. The columella is arcuate and smooth.
Coloration consists of zigzag stripes in reddish or purplish-brown on a white or yellowish ground. The broadly excavated base affords the animal maximum suction to withstand wave stress.
Maximum height is 12 mm, and width 12 mm.
