The Dikika region is an area of the Afar Region of Ethiopia where the hominid fossil Selam was found. Dikika is located in Mille woreda.[1]
Dikika is part of the Hadar formation in the Afar Region, a series of sedimentary rocks deposited approximately 3.4 million years ago, and exposed by the erosive action of the Awash River.
