[edit] Web Maestro
Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. An article you recently created, Web Maestro, has been tagged for speedy deletion because its content is clearly written to promote a company, product, or service. This article may have been deleted by the time you see this message. Please keep in mind that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not an advertising service. Thank you. Veinor (ヴエノル(talk)) 00:31, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
Please do not remove speedy deletion tags from articles that you have created yourself. If you do not believe the article deserves to be deleted, then please do the following:
- Place {{hangon}} on the page. Please do not remove any existing speedy deletion tag(s).
- Make your case on the article's talk page.
Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. Veinor (ヴエノル(talk)) 01:00, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Inappropriate content in Talk namespace
Please do not comment about another user's previous edits or accuse them of deleting articles for personal reasons in the Talk: namespace. Any misgivings or issues with a user should be brought up on their talk page. Negative comments about another user in the Talk: namespace may be viewed as a personal attack by some editors. After all, he was nice enough to give you a kind message telling you that the article was a candidate for speedy deletion. Thank you. thadius856talk|airports|neutrality 01:15, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
- You have a good point, and I should thank you for making me aware of this. However, my writing of this article, one on "Exploding joins" in SQL, and edits to ISAPI, SQL, and so on, have all been done in good faith. After reviewing Veinor's talk page, I felt his deletion of my hard work writing this article was done in bad faith, an opinion shared by many others. Perhaps I was wrong, and I hadn't considered that his message probably shows I'm wrong to assume malice.
- Still, I've discovered a free software program that belongs to a category very heavily covered by wikipedia, with enough notible features to merit it's listing here. The program has already saved me great effort, and other people would be well served by knowing about this. To my mind, that's the textbook example of something that should be included here, as opposed to an article like RJL Software which truly is spam and has no redeming quality. DigitalEnthusiast 01:24, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
- You use evidence of the complaints on my talk page against me. Not all of those complaints are valid; several of those people were ignorant of the rules. Veinor (ヴエノル(talk)) 01:56, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Exploding joins
I've added the "{{prod}}" template to the article Exploding joins, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, or, if you disagree with the notice, discuss the issues at Talk:Exploding joins. You may remove the deletion notice, and the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached, or if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria. [edit] Spam
XML Spy does not meet the requirements for a speedy deletion nor, IMO, for a deletion at all. So I have removed your inappropriate tag and would oppose an afd, SqueakBox 21:25, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Speedy deletions
DigitalEnthusiast, please slow down with db-tags. Sourced articles with many editors in the history are nothing to be speedied, and moreover frivolous deletion nominations are regarded as vandalism, because they disrupt other editors. Thank you. --Ioannes Pragensis 21:57, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
I second that, slow down and be more reasonable.- furankupan
[edit] Matt Harding
Hello, I see you added the speedy tag to the article on Matt Harding. May I suggest that in the future you check the article's talk page before adding a deletion tag? That article has been around the bush (so to speak) three times before. The results are no consensus. Once an article has survived an AFD, speeding it is inappropriate. ~ ONUnicorn(Talk|Contribs) 22:06, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Iran Focus
Hello,
Thank you for your stub submission. You may wish to note that it is preferable to use a stub template from Wikipedia:WikiProject Stub sorting/Stub types instead of using simply {{stub}}, if you can.
Thanks! --Vox Causa 22:15, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Proposed deletion
Another editor has added the "{{prod}}" template to the article Iran Focus, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at Talk:Iran Focus. If you remove the {{prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. [edit] Blue Dot AfD
Hello, it seems that your AfD for Blue_Dot is only partially completed. Perhaps you could follow through in listing the article for deletion? cacophony ◄► 05:48, 17 December 2006 (UTC)
- Your CSD nomination was denied, again. Please do not try it again. - crz crztalk 19:26, 18 December 2006 (UTC)
I removed the speedy tag. I will help you by creating an AfD subpage where you could nominate it for deletion. Check the article in a second. - crz crztalk 19:31, 18 December 2006 (UTC)
- Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Blue Dot. Write up why and when you're done, I will transclude it into today's deletion log. - crz crztalk 19:33, 18 December 2006 (UTC)
- Hi, the process for listing an article for AfD is documented at WP:AFD#How_to_list_pages_for_deletion. In addition, it is usually wikipedia custom to reply to messages where the original was left, IE reply on your talk page to messages left on your talk page, etc. cacophony ◄► 00:06, 19 December 2006 (UTC)

- I see. Okay, thanks for the info. It can get a little overwhelming at times. DigitalEnthusiast 00:28, 19 December 2006 (UTC)
