Talk:Digsby
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
While the developer has said that support for other social networking sites is "coming soon" on their website, at present, Digsby only supports Facebook and Myspace updates. To say that it includes Facebook and Myspace is a little misleading, since it implies support for other social networks.
This software is still in its infancy, but we really need to start fleshing out the article a bit. Perhaps we should expand the features section with more detail on those said features? I'm out of ideas at the moment.

Agreed, Asurroca. I honestly have no wikipedia editing talent, and when I started this page I relied heavily on the Pidgin page. I was also hoping that a friend of mine would translate my babbling into Wikpiedia work.
Also, should twitter be under the protocols section. It is already above it in the paragraph. Teh HM (talk) 05:08, 24 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Adium?!
You said the Digsby skin is similar to Adium. I'm pretty sure you were talking about the default skin. I am a user of Digsby, and it is labelled "Quicksilver" which is the desktop style of Mac OS X, and it also looks just like the early versions of iChat. I hesitated, so i didn't delete what you said, but I think that shouldn't be overlooked. —Preceding unsigned comment added by B4lyphe (talk • contribs) 07:03, 27 March 2008 (UTC)
In case this is still a question, it should be pointed out that almost all of the styles are from Adium. look here: "C:\Program Files\Digsby\res\MessageStyles". This might be a source of confusion from the skins, which may not be. (I am not a Mac user, only used Adium once) Teh HM (talk) 15:27, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
Adium is under the GPL and uses WebKit to render its message views. Digsby similarly uses WebKit, and also uses the message styles created for Adium. — RVJ (talk) 04:56, 25 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Operating Systems + License
Digsby is available for Microsoft Windows systems only. Mac and Linux versions may be coming soon, but aren't available yet. Signup for Mac & Linux version
Is there any proof for the license of this application? I know you can download the beta version for free, but there is no sign if the released version will be free of charge, too. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 137.226.101.40 (talk) 10:06, 2 April 2008 (UTC)
I met with the guys who were working on it and they told me that a free version will always be available even if a better version costs money. I assume something along the lines of Trillian/Trillian PRO--67.81.123.212 (talk) 15:18, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
