This article does *not* describe VoIP telephony but rather the more traditional and much older form of digitial telephony using PCM (pulse code modulation) as framed onto a TCM (time compression multiplex) data stream, used in enterprise phone systems such as Nortel Network's Meridian M1. --Jelsova (talk) 13:31, 11 April 2008 (UTC)
