Digital safety is an alternative term for online safety or internet safety.
Numerous groups, internet sites and governments have expressed concerns over the safety of children using the internet. In the UK the Get Safe Online campaign has received sponsorship from government agency SOCA and major internet companies such as Microsoft and eBay.
There are a wide range of technologies that children have access to, and that parents need to be aware of. These technologies include social networking sites such as wikis, blogs, and podcasts.
