Digital Library of Mathematical Functions

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Digital Library of Mathematical Functions (DLMF) is an online project at the National Institute of Standards and Technology to develop a major resource of mathematical reference data for special functions and their applications. It is intended as an update of Abramowitz's and Stegun's Handbook of Mathematical Functions. As of summer 2007, the chapter on the Gamma function is available online. According to the "Summary of Activities for Fiscal Year 2007" of the NIST Mathematical and Computational Sciences Division, the full public release of the web site and the book in print is scheduled for Dec. 31, 2008.
